ADBRI Quarries – Materials Handling Shed (SA)

INCON Pty Ltd was engaged to provide structural engineering design and review services for a materials handling (dust) shed at the Southern Quarries site in Sellicks Hill, South Australia. The project formed part of operational improvements within an active quarry environment, requiring structural modifications to accommodate revised access and material handling requirements. The scope focused on structural verification and optimisation of steel framing elements to ensure safe integration of new access systems within the existing shed.

Rendering Plant

Incon was engaged to undertake a structural assessment of the existing roofing structure at the Thomas Foods International Rendering Plant in Murray Bridge, South Australia. The project formed part of an operational upgrade to support the installation of mechanical ventilation systems aimed at improving process efficiency and environmental performance. The scope focused on evaluating the structural capacity of the existing roof to safely accommodate new roof-mounted exhaust fans within a live industrial processing facility.

Submarine Independent Certification

Incon was engaged by Aerius Marine Australia to provide independent structural engineering certification services for lifting systems associated with the Hunter Class Frigate program. This project forms part of a critical national defence initiative, requiring rigorous engineering validation of lifting lugs and associated lifting plans to ensure compliance with stringent safety, defence, and operational standards. The certification process supports safe handling, transportation, and installation of heavy equipment across the Osborne shipyard and associated supply chain.

GN Marine Ship Construction

Incon was engaged to deliver civil and structural engineering design services for a marine industrial development at 8 Shipwright Road, Largs North, South Australia. The project comprised a two-storey office building and a heavy-duty warehouse facility designed to accommodate marine vessel construction and handling operations. The development required specialised engineering solutions to support significant operational loads while ensuring compliance with site-specific geotechnical conditions and coastal environmental constraints.

Tailings Leach Feed Tank Bypass

Incon was engaged to deliver civil and structural engineering design services for the Tailings Leach Feed Tank bypass system at BHP Olympic Dam. The project formed part of a critical reliability and risk mitigation initiative to maintain continuous plant operations during required maintenance of key process infrastructure. The scope focused on the detailed design of structural supports and foundations to enable integration of a new bypass manifold within an operational processing facility.

Camp Accommodation Audits

Incon was engaged by BHP to undertake structural and compliance audits of camp accommodation facilities at Olympic Dam, South Australia. The project formed part of an asset assurance and operational risk management initiative to ensure accommodation infrastructure remained safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose for ongoing workforce occupancy. The audits required a systematic engineering assessment approach aligned with operational constraints within a live mining environment.

BHP Iron Ore – Camp Accommodation Security Door Replacement Project

Incon was engaged to provide structural and quality assurance engineering services for the Camp Accommodation Security Door Replacement Project across BHP Iron Ore sites in Western Australia. The project formed part of a broader Village Security Project (VSP) initiative aimed at improving safety, durability, and operational performance of accommodation infrastructure. Incon’s role focused on inspection, audit, and engineering validation of manufactured security doors prior to installation.
